GC-MS
The Agilent 5977C GC/MSD is a current single-quadrupole system for routine identification and quantitation in pharmaceutical, environmental, and food applications, covering a mass range of m/z 0.6–1091 and compatible with current Agilent GC platforms (8890, 8850, 8860, Intuvo 9000). MassHunter and OpenLab CDS software are supported.
Headspace GC
Headspace sampling is especially important for volatile compounds; its strongest pharmaceutical use case is residual-solvent testing per USP <467> and ICH Q3C. The Agilent 8697 Headspace Sampler is a current sampler with 48-vial capacity (120 with the XL tray), compatibility with 10/20/22 mL vials, and thermal control up to 300°C, offered in a reference configuration with the Agilent 8890 GC for residual-solvent analysis.
