Chemical Fume Hoods
A chemical fume hood is an engineering control that reduces respiratory exposure to chemical vapors, gases, and aerosols, used in QC, R&D, chemical preparation, work with solvents and acids, and some pathology processes. A chemical fume hood is not the same as a biological safety cabinet (BSC); selection must be based on the materials and process involved.
